Our F 1 fob is ideal for those needing a spare who don't want to spend $350+ for the Porsche-branded model. But don't let the low cost fool you - the F 1 is an improvement over the original design, utilizing components unavailable 30 years ago. This cuts the components in half, improves reliability and reduces cost, all while maintaining the familiar look, feel, and functionality of the original - the only thing missing is the PORSCHE logo. If you must have it, install the F 1 in your OEM fob housing.
We offer a 315MHz version for North American 993's (compatible with Porsche P/N 993-618-259-02) and a 433MHz version (compatible with Porsche P/N 993-618-259-01). Most, but not all, RoW 993's use 433 MHz fobs. If unsure which one you need contact us for assistance.
Note: The F 1, like all fobs, must be programmed to the immobilizer before it can be used. You do this in the car using the procedure described here. If you need help, we offer a fob programming service. (Free with purchase). Programming requires the 4-digit PIN code that came with your 993. If you don't have it, a Porsche dealer can get it for you with proof of ownership, provided the immobilizer is original to the car. However, if the immobilizer was replaced, the PIN code the dealer has on file won't match. If that's the case, we offer a PIN Code Recovery service.)
