IMMO BLOCK 12V adapter
The IMMO BLOCK battery makes installation and removal easy, but owners often forget that it needs to be replaced every two years. With the adapter below you can power the IMMO BLOCK directly from the car and not have to worry about periodic battery replacement.

PARTS
Parts below available from Digikey.com or as a complete kit in store. (Includes wire).

Assembly
Solder R and D to the connector as shown. (Note band on diode, D is "up" in the photo). Cut wire a foot longer then necessary to reach the clock module. This will make it easier to remove IMMO BLOCK for servicing without cutting the wire. Attach wire to the resistor and protect with shrink-tubing. Route wire through one of the 2 holes in the end of the battery holder. Most 20 and 22 AWG wires will fit thru the hole. For larger wires, drill a hole in the cover at the opposite end. Tip:
TIPS: 1) Plug J1 into IMMMO BLOCK to hold it during assembly.
2) Loop wire around the end of battery holder to prevent pulling on resistor
during installation.

Slide IMMO BLOCK cover back on.

connect power
Connect to 12 volts behind the clock. This circuit is protected by fuse #12. Temporarily remove fuse #12 and pop the clock module out. Plug IMMO BLOCK with the installed adapter into the gong relay socket and route its red wire behind dash and out the clock hole.
Unwrap a couple inches of protective tape from the clock wire bundle and attach red IMMO BLOCK wire to red clock wire using T-splice, J2. (You can also splice and solder if you prefer). Make sure IMMO BLOCK wire is inserted all the way into the T-splice, then use slip-joint pliers to crimp the splice closed. Check connection by giving a little tug on the wire, then reinstall the protective tape. Re-install fuse #12, wait a few minutes for IMMO BLOCK to initialize, then LOCK and UNLOCK with your FOB. IMMO BLOCK will remain operational for as long as the car battery is connected.
